Smarty Pants

Jakob did really well in school this year. A big turn around from last year, due in no small part to an EXCELLENT teacher. Here he is with all the awards he got at the end of the year.
Outstanding Academic Achievement: Highest GPA in the 5th grade.

Outstanding Math Award: Top GPA in math in the 5th grade (98.86%).

Math Fact Wizard: Achievement of 95% or better on all four math fact tests.

Art Award: Will have his artwork published in next year's Ashland City Schools District calendar.

Excellent Attendance Award.

He sounds like five kids I know very well (because I gave birth to them.)

Remember the old story of Jakob's Ladder? Well, this is the new story of Jakob's Ladder...that is his "ladder of success". Keep climbing up Jakob! I told you that you could do it! I am very proud of you for using your talents that God gave you, but much prouder of your willingness to work hard to achieve such wonderful goals. I love you! G'ma Webel

Jakob, way to go! I love this quote by Helen Keller:
"I long to accomplish a great and noble tasks, but it is my chief duty to accomplish humble tasks as though they were great and noble. The world is moved along, not only by the mighty shoves of its heroes, but also by the aggregate of the tiny pushes of each honest worker."

Your everyday goals sure paid off for a grand finish of your fifth grade! Yahooo!
